Consultation and Training Services in developing effective programs for
students with dyslexia and learning disabilities. With two decades of experience
in developing effective programs, we understand that these children have their
own distinctive set of strengths, weaknesses, special talents and experiences.
We strive to look at every aspect of their educational experience when
developing a school program with the appropriate technologies that can
support independent learning skills for these students.


Assistive Technology Evaluations for Dyslexic and Learning Disabled Students
EdTech Associates offers Assistive Technology (AT) Evaluation that provide insight
into the technologies that can be of educational benefit students who are dyslexic
and/or learning disabilities. The evaluation process takes into consideration the
technology that is available at home and at school in conjunction with the specific
learning needs required of your son or daughter. The AT Evaluation includes:
- Information Forms from Parents and School;
- Review of Records;
- On-Site Consultation and Observations (if appropriate
and approved by parents);
- Evaluation Session with student;
- Follow-up Appointment – review findings and recommendations
and a Written Report related recommendations to the IEP goals
and objectives (completed within four weeks of Evaluation Session).


Implementation and Training Services for Kurzweil 3000 and Bookshare
EdTech Associates offers implementation and training services to school
and school districts who have decided to support their students with Kurzweil
3000. Our services include guidance and training for successful implementation
of Kurzweil 3000 along with Bookshare, the repository of K-12 books and
textbooks for students with print and visual disabilities. This service
includes an onsite pre-planning exercise with key staff, a training program
for staff and students, an implementation and action plan that will outline
the tasks for successful implementation of Kurzweil 3000 and Bookshare. Contact

Introductory 1-day Workshop: How to Use Desktop and Free Online
Tools to Support Literacy and Organizational Skills with Dyslexic and LD Students
Learn how to use desktop and free online tools that can support and reinforce important
reading comprehension, vocabulary, note-taking and organizational skills so that these
learners can develop independence learning skills. This workshop is designed as a
hands-on workshops using desktop software that should include MSOffice, Kidspiration
and Inspiration. Please indicate grade level in the booking form.

Disorder) Program
EdTech Associates offers schools and school districts Assistive Technology
Consultation and Training Services in developing effective programs for
students with Autism Spectrum Disorders. We provide comprehensive services
from a review of your program and technology resources to program design,
hardware and software recommendations, implementation planning and training
of staff on the technologies that have proven to be effective in instructing
